Do they have the money/assets necessary to actually buy the club for the price...

Or is it Junior up to his supposed tricky negotiations again...?

I don't think they have the money.

I don't think the Allams' valuation of the club is realistic, either.

I'll believe it when I see it.

Now then...

Nash. I don’t think they have ANY money.

Even if it was still the much vaunted quid to buy it they’d still be 2 quid short.

Maybe the Allams will hang on for another Wembley cup run instead.

Probably not sunn.

Remember, they said "24 hours".

How long's it been now? Five years?

Fucking painful.

And to think that the Allans could have got out for a realistic £85 million back in late 2016, leaving the club back at the Captain's table and with their debt paid back plus around £20 million profit in their sky rocket. They would always have been slated for the name change and the inadequate pie fork material, but have left the team at a positional high.

Now they're scrabbling around waiting for some Saudis to pay a million pounds 'holding deposit' and the remainder at the end of January which should have been spent on the team, whilst their asset is depreciating further.

Feelings don't care about your facts.

I think the renaming of the Rosedowns building to “Rosie’s Top Drawer Small Apartments at Stupid Prices in a Shitty Part of Hull” might have gone against them, either that or the Allams name is shite in HCC circles and they haven’t a prayer of ever getting anything approved again, ever.

In response to the Gulls lament, don’t they actually have to find a Saudi first before trying to lever. Mill or two out of them? Even if it was sold today, which it isn’t, to get EFL approval etc makes the Jan window a non-event for the Targers.

Maybe we will sell a couple, Bowen and Grosicki to those punting for Prem footy and Toral & Evandro for medical science purposes. I read the Marshall has 6 months to go before his contract expires. He will possibly go too then with a 2 year job somewhere nice.

Ehab claims he has no idea when the sale will take place.

Probably two reasons for that.

- Papa has taken over the negotiations to force a rapid sale at a knockdown price
- Ehab is useless

Either way, sounds like nobody has any money to buy us for the price the Allams want.

I think I can help him out there.

If there is a sale, it will be out of administration, a few weeks following the end of the January transfer window when, coincidentally, the last parachute payment will have cleared.

In the interim, messrs Grosicki, Bowen, ?Marshall, Toral and Evandro will have left the club with possibly £2m or £3m passing to the trouser pocket of DR Allam esq. just as an aside, other noted luminaries to have received honorary degrees are Kermit the Frog and Mike Tyson the rapist. Jimmy Saville also had one but it was removed for obvious reasons, having been smoked out on this very MB by Askew.

You are correct though National, Ehab is useless and nobody has any money of any note to buy the club.

If I were a buyer I’d be waiting to see where the club ends up in May. I have no idea what the club is worth, but Duffman and Bartlett bought it for £10m in a similar position in the Championship 10/11 years ago. Have we increased in value much since, probably not. So I could easily save myself £8m if City drop to the third division, and that type of money would be useful in the rebuilding process.

I doubt the Allams will place the club in administration. I’m no business or accountancy expert, but I think they’re too proud.

Would it be that bad if we did go down the admin route? I see Pompey are top of League 1 with Luton 2nd...

The latest accounts show the debt to the Allams as 60 million. Notes to those accounts state the club cannot run without external money. If they have trousered a few quid, if they remain in control it will be put back in.

Papa is an accountant, so why pay an outsider to be an administrator? Loss of money rather than loss of face.

I'm in the wait and see camp. Why pay today's asking price when the end of the season could see a collapse in value, relegation?

Anyway, it will be the fault of those who opposed the name change.
