LATEST: Tigers eye one last transfer deal

Hull City manager Steve Bruce has already admitted he's had a satisfying summer transfer window following the Tigers' promotion to the Premier League, but despite the fact he's concluded deals on 10 new players ahead of the Chelsea opener live on television this Sunday tea time, there's always room for one more.

Just one more...

Most Hull City fans thought that would be the lot, after the club broke their club record transfer fee to land Spurs duo Tom Huddlestone and Jake Livermore a couple of days ago - signings number 9 and 10 of the summer - but according to the Tigers boss, there's ambition to try and land one more deal before the transfer window closes for Premier League clubs in 18 days time.

Bruce confirmed to the Hull Daily Mail - 'I suppose every manager is never satisfied. I'd be happy with one more but if we couldn't manage that we've still done very well. I knew I couldn't sign six or seven players for £5m but I think we've done really good business within the budget we've set ourselves to make sure the club is not falling to bits.'

At this stage it is not clear where Bruce would like to strengthen, but it is unlikely to be a goalkeeper or defender, with the most likely position needing to be covered being the attack - or brace yourselves - yet another midfielder. Indeed, as it stands, two midfield names already mentioned on CI are Morgan Amilifitano and Tomas Rincon which are not closed off just yet. Watch this space...
