NEWS: And another one leaves! Two more to follow?

Oh dear. Already, it's looking like Leonid Slutsky is being hung out to dry at Hull City. Influential midfielder Tom Huddlestone has chosen to leave the sinking ship run by captain Ehab - and his move home back to Derby County - is set to trigger an almighty collapse of playing personnel at the club as speculation about other squad members leaving continues to grow.

Huddlestone leaves under a cloud

Huddlestone has been a legend at the Tigers, but a paltry £2m release clause has been unearthed by the Rams (brilliant mismanagement from the boardroom yet again) means City's star midfielder has left East Yorkshire - and disappeared over the horizon to one of the pre-season promotion Championship favourites. We could hardly consider ourselves in the same mix, eh?

Speaking to the Derby County official website, Huddlestone intriguingly revealed how the move came about by claiming he would've - 'happily stayed' at Hull City if Derby's offer had arrived three weeks earlier. Really? What has changed so drastically in the past three weeks? But in all honesty, who can blame him? Once again, another player leaves the club under a cloud courtesy of Allam dictatorship - and for the second season running - pre-season appears to be unravelling into a rare old mess before our very eyes.

Adding to the gloom, is the news that popular left back Andy Robertson is on the brink of an £8m (jeez just £8m) move to Liverpool. It appears certain he will be followed out the door by goalkeeper Eldin Jakupovic's proposed move to Leicester City - although David Marshall's recent pre-season injury that is set to rule him out for 6 weeks - is likely to check that move. For now.

Goodbye Tom and good luck. You will be sorely missed.
