SUMMARY: Reading 1-1 Hull City

After last weekend's relief at scoring a late equaliser against Sunderland, City suffered a taste of their own medicine against Reading at the Madejski Stadium, as a late leveller robbed the Tigers of a very welcome three points that would've propelled the club up the Championship table.

Right royal cock up late on for City

With both teams struggling to get to grips with the Championship this season, it was City who broke the deadlock - somewhat against the run of play in the first half - as Fraizer Campbell latched onto a defence splitting through ball to calmly slot home across the keeper and roll the ball into the bottom right corner of the net in the 28th minute.

In the second half, City's best route to adding to the score came from set pieces as two freekicks from Larsson came close to increasing the Tigers' advantage. One deflected viciously, but was scrambled to safety, while another crashed the bar. Campbell's excellent solo run deserved far better than just going wide of the goal, while Dicko missed another good chance - and those misses cost the visitors, as Bodvarsson netted late on for Reading with just three minutes left on the watch.
