SUMMARY: Sunderland 1-0 Hull City

Hull City's charitable nature towards beleaguered Sunderland is rapidly becoming a trifle tiresome. The Tigers turned in a toothless performance at the Stadium of Light and once again left pointless to firmly place themselves deep in the Championship relegation mire.

The gift that keeps on giving...

If there has been a worse 45 minutes this season from Hull City, be grateful you've forgotten it already - or given the Allam dictatorship of this club - you've long since stopped actually going to see the team. An awful performance was capped off with calamitous defending on 20 minutes that allowed Asoro to give Sunderland a rare half time lead. That last happened some 14 months ago, for the record.

City were marginally better after the break, with Larsson, Dawson, Evandro and Meyler going close to at least restore parity, but the truth is, the visitors looked unfit and shorn of all confidence that could potentially signal a come back. While castigation of Sunderland's home form continues - and why Hull City are always the team that allow club's to break their hoodoos - let's all remember our club is no great shakes itself. One away in 18 months, is it? What else did you expect?

And we all know who's fault that is, don't we? It starts with 'All' and ends with 'am'
