SUMMARY: Leeds United 0-2 Hull City

It's been 29 years since Leeds United achieved a league double over Hull City. 29 years. This Saturday, top of the table, at home, seven straight wins under their belt, surely it was a formality, right? Wrong. The real form team of the Championship - Hull City - ensured the Whites are falling apart again. Just like every other season, Leeds will be coming down with Christmas decorations.

Bowen - easy, peasy

Anyway, Leeds were making lame excuses about having to work very hard to keep winning - like it's not fair that other teams are turning up at Elland Road and unsportingly actually trying. Whatever, Grosicki was a genuine thorn in the Leeds side and a 25th minute cross was woefully mis-cleared despite numerous opportunities - and Bowen slid in at the far post from close range to thump the Tigers into a 0-1 interval lead.

Grosicki thoroughly tormented the ordinary looking leaders, skinned Douglas with absolute ease, found Keane - who drew a close range save - but, Bowen as ever, tucked home the rebound for a 0-2 lead on 58 minutes. So easy. So, so, easy. No Elphick - recalled by Aston Villa - no, Irvine either, but the Tigers looked excellent value for a well deserved victory. As for Bowen, amazing. And why would he take a step down to join Leeds, now? Not even £20m would get us talking turkey.

In the words of Manchester's own Joy Division - "Leeds, Leeds are falling apart, again".
