PREVIEW: Hull City v Bolton Wanderers

An astonishing run of results post Christmas on the road, has seen the Tigers claw themselves further away from the relegation rat race and into relative mid-table comfort. The fact the wins came in the Roses clash against Preston and league leaders Leeds, is even more remarkable.

Now, Hull City return home for their own festive fixture to kick off 2019, laden with bounty from their victorious exploits on the road - and the chance to achieve an exceptionally rare league double over Bolton Wanderers to boot. Fraizer Campbell will need a fitness test before manager Nigel Adkins can consider the forward, though Reece Burke and Jordy de-Wijs should keep their places in defence since Tommy Elphiclk's recall to Aston Villa. Kevin Stewart continues to deputise for Jackson Irvine in midfield, but Dan Batty stands-by.

Bolton boss - and ex-Tiger manager no less - Phil Parkinson, will be checking on the fitness of three of his squad before selecting a side to face in-form Hull City. Sammy Ameobi, Gary O'Neill and Andy Taylor will all be put through their paces, before being considered for first team duty.
