PREVIEW: Millwall v Hull City - FA Cup Rd 3

Let's not bother trying to flower this up; it's a truly shite FA Cup draw. For both teams. Millwall are hardly salivating at the prospect of plucking out some divisional rivals from a Northern outpost as the 'plum tie they were looking for', while Hull City couldn't even muster a home draw in a 50-50 lottery - and now have a nigh-on 500 mile trip to add to their woes as a consequence in this particular FA Cup Third Round draw.

Hull City may well be smoking hot in the form table, not just in the Championship, not just in England, but in fact, Europe. Tied with none other than Bayern Munich (no less) at the top of the tree, but that matters not a jot in the FA Cup. As is now customary, teams chop and change greatly for their respective ties - Adkins will do likewise, no doubt - and that's before you even consider Fraizer Campbell is ruled out with injury and Jackson Irvine is away on international duty.

It would be no surprise to see Millwall manager Neil Harris follow suit, but one interesting line from the New Den deems, defender Shaun Hutchinson is ruled out with injury for the game... after putting out his bins? Righto. And to think, someone, somewhere, in some far away land convinced some broadcaster, somewhere, Millwall v Hull City is the ideal overseas televised match - hence the Sunday 2pm kick off. Really? You can see it now; "Time for English FA Cup action now on Tahiti TV, it's the Lions v Tigers... RRROOOAAARRR!"
