PREVIEW: Derby County v Hull City

Well, how times have changed. Just a few short weeks ago, no Hull City fan would be expecting the up and coming Derby fixture to be one that is a genuine play-off chasing encounter for both teams. The Tigers have turned the table on it's head and are now ripping up the Championship.

Manager Nigel Adkins will once again be tested in defence as both Reece Burke and Jordy de-Wijs are touch and go for selection. However, new signing Liam Ridgwell has been integrated into the squad since arriving from MLS side Portland Timbers and could well make his Tigers debut. Mark Pugh is likely to start from the bench, as he continues to wait for a first full start in a Hull City shirt.

Derby County manager Frank Lampard has his own concerns in the centre of defence, with Richard Keogh and ex-Tiger Fikayo Tomori, the only fit and available pairing on hand. Ashley Cole could be pressed into a first start for the Rams, along with midfielder Andy King, after both signed up for the host at the end of the transfer window.
