PREVIEW: Nottingham Forest v Hull City

Literally nothing separates these two sides as both Nottingham Forest and Hull City sit side-by-side in 9th and 10th respectively in the Championship table - each on 50 points apiece. A win for either club maintains the pressure on those above, to chase down the teams leading the charge for the play-off spots, yet defeat, could well spell the end of such ambitions.

Nigel Adkins has an excellent record here, winning three of his past four visits to the red half of Nottingham as a manager. Hull City themselves, have an outstanding record at the City Ground - proving to be a real bogey team - winning their previous five encounters here. Win again and history will be made. And what's more, the Tigers have been boosted by the news both Jordy de-Wijs and ex-Forest player Eric Lichaj will both be fit enough for selection, despite going off injured during the 2-0 win over Birmingham City last weekend.

But, stop right there, a second. It's not all one way traffic in favour of the Tigers. The new sheriff in town (the old one, really) is Martin O'Neill - who has an excellent record of beating Hull City sides. Indeed, the Irishman has won his last four fixtures against the Tigers. Unfortunately, for the new Forest boss, striker Lewis Grabban won't be fit enough in time, as he continues to recover from an Achilles injury.
