PREVIEW: Hull City v Wigan Athletic

Part one of two was completed with a come from behind victory against Reading meaning job done. Wigan Athletic, come from a similar stable, as like the Royals, they too aim to stay above the dreaded dotted line that signals relegation back to League One. But the Latics have found the second half of the season to be much tougher than the first, since last season's promotion.

A Wednesday with Wigan...

Adkins continues to keep his side just in the play-off mix, but reality dictates there can be little room for error. Indeed, the City boss himself is quoting six wins from seven games to have a realistic chance of gatecrashing the play-off picture. There are no fresh injury concerns to contend with ahead of the Latics' visit to East Yorkshire, meaning a winning side from four days previous, need not be changed if Adkins desires.

Wigan Athletic boss Paul Cook has seen his squad suffer key injuries, as he aims to halt a gradual slide towards the Championship's bottom three. Now resting just a point above the drop zone, the Latics chief will have to find a formula to pick up points without influential players currently injured, including Michael Jacobs, Callum McManaman and Gary Roberts.
